Denise Gould, Executive Director
Family Advocacy and Community Training

Denise Gould has a long history with Family Advocacy and Community Training (FACT), beginning with her own need for assistance in advocating for her son, David. For twenty years, she and Audrey Yarbrough - a founding member of FACT - have helped many young people with disabilities and their parents navigate the complex regulations of public education in St. Charles County, Missouri. 4advocates.com sat down with Denise recently to find out more about her strategies for success.

The picture of him they painted didn't match how I saw my son, but I didn't have knowledge of what the schools were supposed to provide. FACT taught me that David was entitled to support that would afford him a meaningful education.
